Traditional medicine is a stubborn science. It is known there are some diseases that can’t be cured now – some spinal colomn, joint, metabolism pathologies which cause complete disability. Very often such diagnoses break people’s lives… But the chiropractor Yuri Kolyagin is ready to challenge to nature. How? Curing people with his bare hands.

Each family has its own traditions. Victor, for example, was sure that a man must become independent, have his own house and only after that he can marry and have children. According to these principles he worked hard, didn’t pay attention to his health, didn’t go to doctors… The first symptoms appeared when he was not 30. At that time he met the girl he was going to marry. And suddenly he heard the terrible diagnosis –incarceration of herniation of intervertebral disc. Backache was unbearable. Doctors sais he needed a complicated operation but they couldn’t give any guarantee it would help. The most terrible thing was that he lost his sexual potency. His bride didn’t want to marry an invalid and left him. And Victor didn’t want to live in the world where nobody could help him. He tried to commit a suicide…

Chiropract Yuri Kolyagin knows a great number of such stories. During 25 years of his practice he has met with a number of people whom traditional medicine can’t help.

What concerns me, my medical education often prevents me from believing in this, or that non-traditional method. I was taught that we can fight with the disease only with the help of a scalpel or some medicine, or at least physiotherapy. If they can’t help you doomed… The diagnosis is fatal… And suddenly a chiropract Kolyagin says he can cure joint destruction, spinal column herniations, climacterium, infertility, diabetes and even ulcer with his bare hands. I didn’t believe in it, so I went to the settlement of Lazarevskaya near Sochi to see everything with my own eyes and write the article for a newspaper. – Do you really cure such serious chronic diseases?

– Yes, in our clinic we cure people who have left hope and are in dispair. We try to help those who will have to take serious drugs for all their life or to be operated (according to the sentence of the traditional medicine). Our principle is quite simple – We cure a patient, not a disease. To my mind, it should be a principle of any medicine.

– What is chiropractic? What’s the essence of the method? Please, try to explain!

– In short, during all his life a person accumulates a great number of structural abnormalities under the influence of stresses, infections, harmful ecological factors. These, abnormalities have biomechanical character. These kind of pathologies can be corrected only with the help of the hands, while the traditional medicine tries to get rid of them with the help of drugs.

– Isn't this method called osteopathy?

– Osteopaths and other manual physicians only take away the pain. We try to take away all the structural abnonnalities. We do it gradually, step by step.

– Do you really try to argue against nature? For example, at a certain age a woman begins wasting away…

– We don’t only try. For many years we have been doing it. We think that everything is in people’s hands. Excuse me my pain! But I am not a magician and the patient must take an active part in the process of his her cure and fulfill all the recommendations.

Well, everything has become clear with spinal column – Yuri Ivanovich showed me quite convincing statistic materials which proved that many patients with hard diseases of spinal column were completely cured and could begin a new life. But what about such hardest diseases as pancreatic diabetes, hysteromyona, infertility?

– Of course, everything depends on the patient’s individuality. But I always say that any chronic pathology of pelvic, thoracic or abdominal cavity organs is often caused by the disorders of the ligaments which fasten these organs to different structures from inside. We can correct this even if the inflammation process is neglected! The same with diabetes – we must get to pancreas with our hands and switch on its reserves. As a result sugar level in blood decreases and the patient needn’t take insulin any more. But unfortunately there are some diseases we can’t win a victory over yet. We are professional doctors but not charlatans and we don’t cure AIDS, hard paralyses after strokes, oncological diseases. Still, about 90 per cent of chronic diseases can be cured with the help of our methods.

– You work wonders!

– I think that any wonder is the result of hard scientific and practical work together with our wish to help patients!

When I knew that the doctors in the Centre have diplomas of Medical Institutes I felt awkward. We studied according to the same programs, but they could see the new possibilities and achieve better results than many others…

– Yuri Ivanovich, would you like to popularize your method?

– Why not? Some time ago I defended the thesis ‘The Complex Physical Rehabilitation of the Patients with Lumbodynia During the Acute Period of the Disease’ in which I stated the main principles of the cure of intervertebral discs hermations. I wrote about the most effective present-day complex methods when a patient is cures by a chiropract and a masseur who influence his problem zones and, besides, a patient does special medical exercises (gymnastics) the main element of which is stretching his muscles, ligaments and tendons.

– But why isn’t your method widely spread?

– The matter is that we, chiropracts, are unique specialists. A professional chiropract must know a human body better than a surgeon. He must understand behavior nuances better than a psychiatrist. He must have ‘talanted’ hands. The selection of chiropracts is very strict. Chiropractic must not be careless work!

– You travel a lot, take part in congresses and symposiums. Who cures your patients when you are out?

– I’ve got a talented disciple whom I’ve taught everything I know – Sergei Michailovich Shapilov. He is the only one whom I can commit my patients. I must say that in our clinic I am the Chief Doctor and cure only the patients whose condition is very serious.

– As far as I know you advocate… polygamy. It’s a little bit strange…

– There is nothing strange. It’s desirable to have less lie and more purity in attitudes. I’m sure that it’s better for a sensible girl to be the second or third wife of a serious man and feel herself and her children defended than look for some abstract ‘love’ and maim her life. In our time it is necessary to build your life basing not on any emotions but on certain system of principles and views (sometimes not generally accepted). These principles must be based on the knowledge about people.

In present-day society all the women are divided into certain sorts – wives, mistresses, spinsters, prostitutes. It’s not just! To my mind, all the women must be only of the highest sort. And such woman must agree to become the second or the third wife! Yes, my opinion on marriage is different!

– Maybe, you are right…

– The examples of orient long-livers and our ancestors show that I am absolutely right.
